Airbnb listings now bookable through American Express Travel for US Card Members
Airbnb and American Express have partnered so that, for the first time, eligible US Card Members can browse more than one million Airbnb listings on AmexTravel.com or in the Amex Travel App. They start the search there, connect their two accounts and complete the reservation through Airbnb. Platinum Card Members also get extra benefits on Airbnb Luxe stays and Airbnb Experiences.

The details
- Who it's for: eligible US American Express Card Members. Search starts on the Homes tab of AmexTravel.com or the Amex Travel App.
- Booking: guests are asked to connect their American Express and Airbnb accounts, then complete the reservation through Airbnb.
- After booking: the trip shows on Amex Travel, but messaging the host, changes, cancellations and support all stay on Airbnb.
- Points on prepaid bookings: 5X Membership Rewards points for Consumer and Business Platinum, 3X for Consumer Classic Green and 2X for other eligible Card Members.
- Luxe stays: prepaid Airbnb Luxe bookings of two nights or more now count toward Platinum's annual $600 Lodging Credit, up to $300 in statement credits twice a year.
- Experiences: after a prepaid Luxe booking through Amex Travel, Platinum members can get up to $250 in statement credits on eligible Airbnb Experiences for the rest of that calendar year.
What it means for you
If you list on Airbnb, the announcement asks nothing new of hosts: messages, changes and cancellations all stay on Airbnb. It doesn't say whether homes in Armenia are in the selection, so check before expecting new US guests from this.
